Description

This bolt-in roll cage has been specially developed for the Citroën C1 and is entirely produced in-house from high-quality 25CrMo4 steel. Each cage is developed based on a 3D scan of the car body, ensuring a perfect fit. Unlike a weld-in roll cage, only the reinforcement plates are welded in here. The cage itself is bolted in, which is faster and allows the cage to be removed when necessary.

Do you compete on track or in rallies under FIA requirements? Then an approved partner from the VA Fabrication Installation Network will install the cage, including FIA documentation. Are you doing a trackday or building a project car without certification requirements? Then we supply the cage as a complete kit, and you install it yoursel or through a workshop of your choice.

Can't decide between a bolt-in and a weld-in roll cage? A weld-in cage is stiffer because the entire structure is welded in place. A bolt-in cage is largely bolted together, faster to install, and can be removed when needed. Which installation route you then choose depends on the car's use and whether you need FIA certification.

  1. Through an accredited partner(with FIA documentation).
    This route is for circuit and rally drivers with an FIA homologation requirement. An accredited partner from the VA Fabrication Installation Network installs the cage, following fixed procedures and with technical support from VA Fabrication. This ensures installation quality and provides valid FIA documentation. This way, engineering, production, and installation come together seamlessly.
  2. Self-assembly
    This route is for trackday drivers and project cars without certification requirements. You receive a complete bolt-in kit including mounting hardware and instructions. You can install it yourself or through a workshop of your choice. Please note: with this route, no FIA certification is issued.

A bolt-in roll cage isn't fully welted. Only the reinforcement plates are welded into the body, while the cage itself is secured with bolts. Each cage is developed based on a 3D scan of the body, which ensures a neat fit without the long lead time of full custom work.

Do you want the cage ready for use immediately? We powder coat it beforehand in a color of your choice. This way, the car no longer needs to be painted inside after assembly, which saves a lot of time and hassle.
