Most of you will know this one: the Maturo Stradale from Maturo Competition Cars. A mighty Lancia Delta for street use, but underneath a real Group A rally car. With its partly carbon fiber bodywork and refined interior finish it is a car of this time, but with the pure rally genes of the '80s.
Underneath lies a serious powerhouse. The Group A technology delivers no less than 400 hp and 540 Nm of torque, while the total weight is only 1220 kg. This results in an exceptional driving experience that combines the brute force of a classic rally car with modern technology. An absolute driver's car, where safety naturally plays a major role - and that is exactly where we come in.
A unique custom roll cage
For the Maturo Stradale we developed a very unique roll cage. Not only for safety, but also to give the body extra rigidity – a welcome upgrade for a car that is not originally known for this. A stiffer body not only means a better driving experience, but also increased precision and control at high speeds and in corners.
But the details make the difference:
Functionality without compromise – The roll cage is designed to ensure that the car remains practically usable. Thanks to a removable diagonal reinforcement and a specially curved cross member in the main beam, the rear seat is retained. This means that you can still go out with the whole family without compromising on safety and performance.
Seamless integration – In addition, we have bent the roll cage extremely tightly into the bodywork, so that it can be perfectly concealed under Alcantara. This not only ensures a stylish finish, but also seamless integration into the interior. This preserves the luxurious feel of the Maturo Stradale without compromising the functionality of the roll cage.
Optimal rigidity and safety – By strategically connecting the roll cage to the bodywork, not only safety is improved, but also the structural strength of the car is increased. This results in even more direct and sharp handling, just as a real rally car should be.
A fusion of past and future
The Maturo Stradale is an ode to the glory days of the Lancia Delta, but at the same time a progressive step into the world of modern restomods. Combining classic motorsport DNA with contemporary techniques and materials makes this project special.
