A Unique Land Rover Defender Convertible: Our Collaboration Project with Heritage Customs
At VA Fabrication BV we are always looking for innovative and unique projects, and this creation is a perfect example of that. In collaboration with Heritage Customs we have developed a roll cage for the iconic Land Rover Defender which has been transformed into the impressive Valiance Convertible . This project combines robust craftsmanship with a touch of elegance, without compromising the characteristic power and appearance of the Defender.
From Closed Offroader to Stylish Convertible
The transformation began with a major modification: removing the original roof. This required a careful approach to maintain the structural integrity of the vehicle. To this end, we manufactured and installed a specially designed roll cage that not only provides strength and safety, but also perfectly complements the original bodywork. Using our expertise in metalworking and construction techniques, we created a robust and durable solution that enhances the Defender both functionally and aesthetically.
Seamless Integration
A key aspect of this project was that the Valiance Convertible had to look as if it had come straight from the Land Rover factory. That’s why we not only created a bespoke roll cage, but also ensured it was finished to a high standard using premium materials. Our craftsmen seamlessly integrated the roll cage into the design of the vehicle, with carefully selected trim and detailing that respects the original look of the Defender.
Our Craftsmanship in Detail

For this project we used 3D scanning techniques and worked out the design of the roll cage in a 3D model to ensure a perfect fit and integration. For this project we applied advanced welding techniques to ensure that every part of the modification fits exactly. Every detail is finished by hand, giving the Valiance Convertible an exclusive and high-quality look that is indistinguishable from factory originals.
